Decide the limit while you are calm
Caps on what goes in, on what can be lost and on how long one sitting runs are all in the account settings, and they bite the moment they are saved. Tightening one is instant. Loosening one is held back on purpose, so an hour of frustration cannot overturn a calm decision from the morning.
Most members who use a cap set the weekly deposit figure once and never look at it again, which is the whole point of it.
Taking a break
A short lock holds the account shut for a set stretch, anything from a day to a few weeks. Closing it properly runs longer. Chat can arrange either one, and no explanation is asked for.
Nothing reopens early while a break is running, and whatever is in the wallet stays there until the period is up.
Signs worth taking seriously
Putting a bigger stake down to win back what is gone. Playing on money that was borrowed. Keeping the size of it from the people closest to you. Opening the app to get away from something else. None of those tend to sort themselves out.
Two Malaysian numbers are worth keeping: Befrienders KL on 03-7627 2929 at any hour, and the Malaysian Mental Health Association for a route into counselling. Saying it out loud early costs nothing.
